Description: Huge 17th Century English Old Master portrait of a lady identified as Frances Bard (1646-1702) mistress to Prince Rupert Of The Rhine, Duke of Cumberland, oil on canvas. Beautiful three quarter length portrait of the young lady in a draped interior wearing a white satin dress with an emerald embossed pink detailing, ringlets, pearls and holding a rose. Exceptional example of English period portraiture with old inventory label and identification verso. Presented in a later antique gilt frame. Superb condition for its age and ready to hang (professionally relined circa 1920). Measurements: 130cm x 100cm framed approx
