Description: Oil on canvas mounted to wood, large English portrait from around 1900 of a white British Longhair Cat in a garden. The white cat with flowers behind it is portrayed in a high-quality, early cat picture that is characteristic of Wain's more meticulous cat studies from the turn of the century. The unsigned picture was acquired from a local estate that also contained original works by Wain. Dimensions: around 18" x 13.5" when framed.
