Superb historical photo of the fatigued soldier leaning against a ramshackle wall while donning his papakha. During the Russo-Circassian War, which resulted in their demise or banishment to Turkey under the Ottoman Empire, the story takes place. Since the Circassians fought invasion for more than a century, it is the longest war and Russian resistance in its history. Size: about 41" by 35" when framed
