Description: 1 Cornish Fisherman Releasing His Hooked Fish Catch, a 19th-century marine sporting oil painting by a renowned British artist from Newlyn. Featured is a half-length profile of a Cornish fisherman facing the viewer in a marine portrait. He is gently removing the enormous, bent fishing hook from the sizable mouth of the fish he is holding while in his fishing boat off the coast of Cornwall amid rough, choppy, rolling seas. He is keeping warm by donning his customary cap and his warmest maritime jumper. Over his shoulder, he wears a leather strap. "Fisherman releasing the catch" is the title. on a canvas, oil. late 19th century or earlier. Richard Harry Carter, a well-known Newlyn artist, has signed the piece bottom right. Having a frame that is 67 cm wide and 90 cm high, it is a sizeable frame.
