Description: Oil on canvas, large Elizabethan School portrait of a person generally recognized as poet Edmund Spenser. Half-length portrait of a young man in white cushioned doublet and lace collar in excellent quality and condition. Outstanding early portrait that was probably painted in 1626 after his death or was wrongly postdated.
