Description: Oil on canvas, finely sized 1943 French portrait of a lady dressed as a gentleman. A captivating image of the man wearing a mac (perhaps an artist) against a rural landscape; one of a pair; the other is of his wife. The image is exhibited in its original antique gilded frame and is in flawless unrestored, original clean condition. The life and career of Mroz the artist are not well known. She might have given up painting because of the war or died in it. A Marion Mroz who passed away in Detroit, Michigan, and was recorded as "Marion Mroz (1892-1976)" exists. Dimensions: approximately 95 x 75 cm when framed
