Excellent quality and condition study of the spaniel at side profile, full length glancing back at the artist/viewer. Superb detail y an accomplished early dog painter capturing a rare early depiction of the breed in art. Clean unrestored condition. Panel good condition for its age. It looks as though it was primed before the artist chose to paint the portrait on the other side. Presented in an ebonised frame. Measurements: 21" x 17" framed approx
