Description: Beautiful 1919 French Impressionist portrait of a lady in a wide brim hat, possibly a self portrait of the artist, oil on panel by Louisa De Jans. Excellent quality and condition example of the artists work and of the fashion of the period. De Jans rarely painted portraits like this so it may be a self portrait or a close friend particularly as the age of the sitter would match that of De Jans in 1919. Presented in a good gilt frame with presentation plaque. Signed bottom left. Measurements: 40cm x 40cm framed approx
