Description: Fine huge oil on canvas portrait of a woman wearing a white dress from the French WWII era, circa 1943. An interesting portrait of the young woman and her spouse, one of a pair. The image is exhibited in its original antique gilded frame and is in flawless unrestored, clean, original condition. The life and career of Mroz the artist are not well known. She might have given up painting because of the war or died in it. A Marion Mroz who passed away in Detroit, Michigan, and was recorded as "Marion Mroz (1892-1976)" exists. Dated and signed in lower right: "avrile 1943" Dimensions: approximately 95 x 75 cm when framed
