Description: Beautiful huge oil painting from 1943 depicting a woman in a white dress during World War II in France. An interesting portrayal of the young lady and her spouse, one of a pair that we have. The image is shown in its original antique gilded frame and is in flawless, unrestored original clean condition. About Mroz's life and work as an artist, hardly much is known. It's possible that she gave up painting because of the war or perished in it. A Marion Mroz who passed away in Detroit, USA, is recorded as "Marion Mroz (1892-1976)" in the Michigan archive. Lower right corner signature, dated "avrile 1943" Origin: taken from an Oxfordshire private estate Dimensions: roughly 95 cm by 75 cm when framed.
