Description: Fine large 19th Century English portrait of a lady, reputed to be Lady Mary Ann Pigot wearing a white dress oil on canvas. Large scale three quarter length portrait of a lady seated wearing a white dress with a red drape beyond. Exceptional detail by a leading hand in portraiture from the period circa 1820. Natural craquelure, presented in a gilt frame. There is also a confirmed 1796 (20 years prior) portrait of Pigot painted by Becchey that has strong resemblance. Measurements: 42" x 33" framed
