The richly costumed woman in a white dress, gold and white turban, and crimson drape beyond, is in excellent quality and condition. Excellent and distinctive illustration of a period portrait characteristic of Lawrence's work; perhaps the wife of an eastern merchant or diplomat. It is displayed in its original, old gilded frame.
