Description: Large oil on canvas medieval scene from the 19th century featuring two sisters and a young guy is credited to Thomas Faed. The suitor favors one sister over the other as they stroll through wide countryside in this picture, which is of excellent quality and condition and dates to around 1850. Outstanding detail displayed in a vintage gilded frame. Due to the popularity of the picture and the artist at the time, Faed produced a number of early works and later variations before completing the composition in 1851.
