Description: Large 17th Century English School portrait of a wet nurse and baby breastfeeding, oil on canvas. Good quality circa 1680 half length portrait of a wet nurse seated at half length by a draped curtain breastfeeding baby. The infant would have been the son or daughter of a noble family who unusually commissioned the portrait whilst being fed. Has been cleaned and professionally relined and restored. Ready to hang and presented in a good gilt frame. Measurements: 35" x 30" framed approx
