Description: One exceptional and significant British oil painting from the 18th century depicting the young lady Lucy Montagu (1709–1734) Countess of Guilford Circle, a friend of John Vanderbank. Subject: An oval, three-quarter length portrait of the stunning, well-known young countess Lady Lucy Montagu, shown in quarter length front profile with her intensely interested gaze directed squarely at the observer. She is radiating her grace, beauty, and elegance in her posture pose. She is wearing an amazing low cut top dress with a feather plumed hat. She has thick light brown fair hair, dark blue eyes, cherry lips, and light skin with pink cheeks. On canvas, oil. Early 18th century, perhaps 1734. 39 cm in width and 43.5 cm in height make up the frame. Unsigned artist within John Vanderbank's Circle.
