Superb quality and condition for its age half length portrait of the young girl named Ann Thomas and later to marry into the Barnwell family wearing a red dress with floral detailing and a white lace headdress. Exceptional and rare early piece of English portraiture full inscribed with accompanying provenance. Needs a clean. Present in an antique cross and crescent moon detailed gilt frame.
