Description: Oil on canvas mounted to a panel, large 18th-century British military officer portrait of Captain Lowe of County Louth. Excellent quality and condition considering its age; reverse is inscribed; would benefit from a little clean. Early descendant of the Lowe-Hill family, born before 1780. We also have a picture of his daughter Lucy Hill, who married Admiral Arthur Lowe of the Royal Navy. Dimensions: about 33" x 29" framed
