Description: Large 18th century oil on canvas portrait of a gentleman designated as Colonel Kenyon in hunting attire with a hound. Exceptional half-length portrait of the gentleman in a forest with his hound, riding staff, and scarlet hunting jacket. Excellent condition. Distinctly akin to Gainsborough's period portraits of the time period. Inscribed verso was inserted at a later date. Approximate measurements: 43" x 35" when framed
