Description: Florence Amy Marler is depicted in a lovely, sizable oil painting from the 19th century in England. Excellent quality and condition study of a young girl in a wooded setting clutching a basket of recently picked flowers while dressed in a red cloak and a black hat. Superb example of the renowned Orientalist painter's work and perhaps an early portrait from his period as a portrait painter in London before his travels that would make him a prolific history and genre painter.
