Description: Oil on canvas portrait of Francesco delle Opere by an Italian Old Master from the 16th century. An early and significant portrait of Perugino's close friend and gem carving. Another panel composition in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence is said to have been painted around 1494 and is also credited to Perugino. In good shape considering its age, but would look much better after a thorough cleaning. Not framed. Provenance: Somerset, UK-based private collection of Old Masters Size: approximately 28" by 23" when framed
