Description: Large oil on canvas portrait of Gilbert Talbot, the 7th Lord of Shrewsbury, from the 16th century. Lord Talbot, an English Peer and Baron, is shown in a large scale, three-quarter length picture. With a ruff, the order of St. George on a blue ribbon, a black cape, a grey silk doublet, and embellished embellishments, the wearer is posed in court costume. Inscribed in gold script with the sitter's name and dates. Unframed, in excellent shape. Size: approximately 47" x 39" unframed
