Description: Huge 17th Century Old Master portrait traditionally identified as Jane Hyde, Countess of Clarendon & Rochester, oil on canvas by Michael Dahl. Exceptional quality and condition three quarter length portrait of the young lady seated beside an arrangement of flowers, holding a carnation and wearing an orange dress. Unmistakably by Dahl and a leading example of his work who records show had previously been commissioned to the Countess by the family. Presented in a superb gilt frame.
