Description: Thomas Hudson painted a sizable oil on canvas portrait of a Mrs. Lady Bletchley in England in the 18th century. Portrait of Mrs. Bletchley (a variation of the name Blakeley) in excellent preservation and quality. She is seen wearing a lace-trimmed dress, a detached miniature ruff, and a plumed wide brim hat. Excellent quality and condition considering its age, typical of Hudson's work circa 1755 when he was regarded as the nation's top portrait painter and worked solely out of his London studio.
