Description: Fine Large 17th Century English Old Master portrait of a lady identified as Nell Gwyn (1650-1687) mistress of King James II, oil on canvas. Excellent quality large three quarter length portrait of her sat in a garden landscape with picked flowers upon her lap. Lely and his studio painted several versions of Gwyn during the period. Good condition for its age, no major restorations, some small peripheral losses. We are currently in the process of preparing a handmade gilt frame for her that will be included with the purchase. Measurements: 49" x 40" unframed approx
