Description: Fine large 17th Century portrait of Prince George of Denmark and Norway, Duke of Cumberland, oil on canvas. Good early and important historical portrait of the famous prince in ceremonial armour and an ermine trimmed cape painted during his period as Lord High Admiral while married to Queen Anne. Excellent condiotn for it age and presented in a superb antique gilt frame. Measurements: 90cm x 70cm framed approx
Provenance: Previously with Bonhams, London Private London collection Old Robert Walpole plaque verso, possibly owned by the statesmen as part of his collection
