Description: Huge oil on canvas portrait from the 19th century of Sir Christopher Hatton, Queen Elizabeth I's Lord Chancellor (1540–1591). Exceptional quality and condition for a portrait of Sir Hatton, one of Queen Elizabeth I's favorites and a judge in the treason trial of Queen Mary of Scots. A good ebonised Elizabethan style frame houses a court portrait in good condition with an inscription. Dimensions: approx. 29" x 24.5" framed
