Description: The Victorian Couple British School, mid 19th century pair of oil paintings on canvas, unframed each canvas: 30 x 25 inches. Superb pair of mid 19th century British portraits, depicting a husband and wife couple. Seated at half-length, he with black bow-tie & dinner jacket, she with silk gown & holding a carnation in her left hand. It is rare indeed these days for a couple to stay together for over 170 years - and they make excellent interior design furnishings for any home.
