THE HOLY BIBLE. accompanied by a 1635-dated Psalm book (A-F8, G4) at the back and an undated Book of Common Prayer (A-F8, G4) bound at the front. Time calf. A lovely Bible with many early marginal notes, all ruled in red ink. Large woodcut (arms) to title verso; more woodcut embellishments throughout; woodcut vignettes at OT and NT beginnings. endpapers with 20th century marble. Bookplate of previous owner to pastedown. Binding sound; front hinge damaged (front cover detached); slight stains and some soiling occasionally; OT title has a small chip on the margin.
