Description: A single unique English reclaimed medieval architectural antique carved stone statue monk friar ornament. With one hand, the subject is a religious monk friar holding a bible. So coveted and desired. You can clearly discern the stone masons' hand-carved chisel grove markings, particularly around the sides, and the centuries' worth of wear and weathering holes erosion, particularly to the face and around the body, if you pay careful attention and examine the close-up photos. Since it is highly porous, limestone is prone to wearing away because it easily absorbs liquids. Unknown sculptor with no signature.
