Description: Fine large 17th 18th century Anglos Dutch river village landscape with figures, oil on canvas. Very early example of landscape painting, probably of a English view by a Flemish or Flemish trained hand. Retaining its original detail and colour, in good condition for its age and a very early example of the subject in art. Painted by an accomplished hand with neatness and rich green tones in the foliage and woodland as well good architectural and figural painting throughout. Framed. Provenance: from the Hohenzollern collection, Schloss Sigmaringen Measurements: 32" x 26" unframed
