Subject depicting a hunting dog, in Scottish grassy wooded area landscape. Chasing a couple of game birds pheasants which have just taken flight. The dog shown is an English setter dog. Using an almost photorealism style of painting with extreme accuracy in its execution with beautifully controlled brush work. Circa mid 20th century 1940's. Set in a later beautiful gilt frame.
