The subject is stunning vistas of Sgùrr nan Gillean on the Isle of Skye, a traditional Scottish Highland mountain environment. "Sgùrr nan Gillean Skye" is the title. Signature located in the lower corner, attributed to renowned Royal Scottish Academy Associate Artist William Beattie-Brown A.R.S.A. (1831-1909). Presented in an ornate gold frame that serves to accentuate this artwork even more. Canvas coated in oil. enclosed in an incredibly ornate gold frame. About 1880, in the late 19th century.
