Description: William Edward Webb painted an excellent, sizable oil on canvas of ships in a storm outside a harbor near the Isle of Man during the 19th century. An enormously detailed picture by Webb shows a ship's crew battling in a storm off the shore, with a paddler behind them and a harbor out in the distance. During the late 19th century, Webb primarily painted marine scenes of Guernsey and the Isle of Man. His works are early historical accounts of these places as well as coastal life at the time. Dimensions: approximately 95 x 60 cm when framed
