Descritpion: 1 Extraordinary George III English Sterling Gilded Finest 925 Silver Baluster Mug Tankard By John Langlands, Dated 1774, Small Decorative, 18th Century. Completely hallmarked with Newcastle & silversmith manufacturer John Langlands' English silver hallmarks. A silver cup made in Newcastle during the reign of George III, with a baluster shape to a spread circular foot, a tongue-capped scroll handle, and afterwards chased floral ornamentation all around a blank scrolled cartouche. John Langlands I, Newcastle 1774, on the hallmark. 10.78 ozt (335.2 grams) of excellent heavy weight.
