Description: Oil on canvas, finely detailed study of a flower arrangement in a classical urn on a mantle from the 18th century. An arrangement of flowers in a gold urn in an architectural garden is depicted in a large-scale and wonderfully painted study. A key figure from the time produced the superb workmanship, delicate use of light, and detail throughout, with influences of Neo-classical realism from the French School. Excellent condition, however a clean up would make it much better. Golden frame. Dimensions: framed at 45.5 x 34.5"
