Description: Large 18th Century British Naval scene of the Battle Of Cape St Vincent, 1797, oil on canvas attributed to Thomas Luny. Excellent and important original account of the Battle typical of Luny's naval battle scenes. The painting has been kept in storage by the family who originally acquired the work through a London dealer in the early 20th Century as Luny (passed down by descent thereafter). We are in the process of cleaning and fully restoring with the view of finding an inscription verso or an signature. Framed. Measurements: 34" x 24" framed approx
