Stunning panoramic view of the fleets of the British Commonwealth and the Dutch Republic during the height of the action, which cost the Dutch Republic dearly but ended the Royal Navy's blockade of the Dutch coast. As the fight recedes into the distant, exceptional detail in the ships, tidy figures, sky, and water typical of Beerstraaten's art captures the full scope of the epic action. Verso inscription.
