Description: An expansive 19th-century oil painting depicting Saint Sebastian's death, credited to Jean Jacques Henner. Scene of Saint Sebastian's body being taken down from the tree and mourned by two shadowy figures in good quality and preservation. Arrived in an exquisite old gilded frame. It is most likely the initial research for the current piece housed in the French museum, the Musee National. Origin: A personal assortment UK's LondonFrench label stamp for galleries.
