Description: Large oil and gesso on panel representation of the Christ's Flagellation by a Spanish School Old Master from the 16th century. A significant early representation of Christ being crucified. Although there is some visible damage, the item is largely stable and is shown in an old gilded devotional frame that was likely intended to be an altar piece. Provenance: Yorkshire Old Christies label verso, dead estate. Dimensions: around 23" x 19" framed
