Description: Large 17th Century Italian Old Master depiction of The Martyrdom of Saint Agnes, oil on canvas. Circa 1680 depiction of St Agnes carried by the Christian women including her foster sister Erementiana, behind are the Roman soldiers instructed to execute her. The wound on her chest is from the sword of the solider after the flames parted from the stake she was bound to during her execution. Unframed. Measurements: 80cm x 55cm unframed approx
