Description: This exquisite oil painting from the 16th century depicts the killing of the innocents. Early and significant work produced by Tintoretto's studio, maybe by the artist himself. The Scuola di San in Venice owns a second replica thought to be by Tintoretto. Later, in 1600, Aedigius Sadeler II published the book. Superb condition considering its age with few indications of excessive cleaning, repair work, or restoration. presented in a beautiful plaque-mounted antique gilded frame.
