Description: An exquisite oil painting from the 16th century depicts the killing of the innocents. Early and significant work produced by Tintoretto's studio, maybe by the artist himself. The Scuola di San in Venice owns a second replica thought to be by Tintoretto. The text was later printed by Aedigius Sadeler II in 1600, and it is in excellent condition considering its age with few indications of excessive cleaning, repair work, or restoration. presented in a beautiful plaque-mounted antique gilded frame.
