Description: Large oil on canvas historical depiction of the murder of Servius Tullius, King of Rome, by an Italian Old Master from the 18th century. Rare portrayal of a Roman king being killed in front of the Senate's architectural columns in excellent preservation. Tarquinius flung the king from the stairs to the soldiers, who then ran a chariot over the body of the king. Amazing figural and architectural detail that is typical of Panini, the artist whose name is written on the painting. Framed Size: 31" x 25" framed approximately
