Description: The Sleeping Bloodhound English School, mid 19th century after Sir Edwin Landseer (British, 1802-1873) oil painting on canvas: 28 x 36 inches antique gilt composition frame: 34 x 42 inches. A very fine Victorian oil painting dating to the middle of the 19th century. The subject is taken from Landseer's famous work which was painted in 1832. Presented in this substantial and very impressive antique gilt frame.
