Description: Large oil on panel painting of the Tempi Madonna from the Italian High Renaissance in the sixteenth century. Beautiful, huge, early, and rare rendition of Raphael's Tempi Madonna, showing the Madonna and the infant Christ embracing. Excellent condition considering its age, with a few minor peripheral losses in the outer composition but no significant repair. It is housed in an antique devotional frame with carvings, possibly intended as an altar piece, and has a clean, sturdy surface. Size: approximately 38" by 28" when framed.
