The persecution and trial of the military saint and martyr are depicted in this excellent large-scale, high-quality, and intact example of the history painter's work. Beautiful figural detail, signed and dated 1868 at the bottom right. It is displayed in its original, old gilded frame. Dimensions: Approximately 115 x 95 cm in a frame
