Description: Oil on canvas painting by Edmund Bristow depicting a small boy following a successful hunt in the English interior in the 19th century. The youngster and his dogs are in excellent condition as they examine the contents of the game basket while the father, who is now intoxicated, sleeps at the table. Measurements: approximately 28" by 23.5" when framed. Origin: Tim Rootes and Obby Waller, Barton Hill House, Gloucestershire, Private Collection.
