US Model 1840 Light Artillery Saber. Blade is marked “US / ADK / 1863†on one side and “Ames†on the other. Hilt is brass with wire wrapped leather grip. Blade is 32†and overall length is 38â€. Scabbard has a brown patina. Overall very good condition.
