Description: The Bible of U.S. Senator Hamilton Kean The Bible itself University Press, Oxford, 1884Large 10 1/2 by 12 3/4" thick folio Bible with additional etched title and engraved plates. Complete period morocco with a sizable brass clasp, front board with "Hamilton F. Kean" lettered in gilded and a presentation inscription from Kean's godfather on the front, dated 1888. Complete, spotless inside, in Very Good shape with very little wear and tear. US Senator Hamilton Fish Kean (1862–1941) represented New Jersey. numerous stamps from an ex-library; otherwise, the contents are clean.
