Description: Huge oil painting by Thomas Grant from the 19th century depicting Carlton Hill and Edinburgh at dusk. Wide-angle view of the city at dusk, with elegantly attired people relaxing and watching from the summit of Carlton Hill as the last of the day's light fades over the skyscrapers. A portion of a set of images that Thomas painted sometime around 1880. The framed measurements are approximately 32" by 19.5".
